MEET ELLEN
Ellen Evans is a neighborhood leader, civil rights advocate, and mom who has spent her life fighting for her community. As an activist during the AIDS crisis, a board member of Equality California Institute during the fight for marriage equality, and as a co-founder of her Neighborhood Association, Ellen has always led with compassion and conviction.

Ellen and her wife Laura have lived in Senate District 24 for nearly 30 years and raised their two children here. When their neighborhood was facing serious challenges and lacked a voice in City Hall, Ellen stepped up and co-founded a Neighborhood Association, delivering real results — working with first responders to improve community safety, building more housing responsibly, reducing homelessness, and advocating for thousands of local residents and small businesses.

Now, Ellen is running for State Senate to fight back against Trump’s attacks on California and deliver results for working families and small businesses. As our State Senator, Ellen will defend reproductive freedom and civil rights, fully fund our public schools, tackle the housing crisis responsibly, invest in wildfire prevention, and grow our local economy to create good-paying jobs.
